Camera Gear

Every shot from the water — gear that earns its spot in the cockpit

One of the most common questions we get is: "What camera do you use?" Capturing life on the water means dealing with salt spray (well, lake spray), bright Oklahoma skies, and a constantly moving deck. Here's every piece of kit we use to document our adventures on Pier Pressure.

Where possible we've linked to the product page so you can check it out yourself.

Shooting on the water — a few hard-won tips:
Always have a dry bag or waterproof case within arm's reach. Oklahoma wind is relentless; use a deadcat windscreen on any mic or you'll spend half your edit on noise reduction. The GoPro chest mount is great for sail trim shots because your hands stay free for the tiller. And never, ever set a camera on the seat without a tether — we learned that one early.
